This weeks mix is a first for us. It’s a live set, from Melbourne’s Escape Artist. Emerging into the scene last Summer, he’s handed over a number of astonishing releases and tracks - most recently his ’Signs of Life’ EP for the eponymous Salt Mines imprint.
The hour long set is a well-rounded mass of atmospheric house and breaks - laced with a soothing “flora and fauna” ambience that Escape Artist seems to do so well. It’s a ride you’ll want to enjoy over and over again. The set was recorded at the latest rendition of ‘Elsewhere’, an event put on by the folks of the Temporal Cast label.
We would be remiss if we didn’t recommend you look into Escape Artist’s other releases - his ‘Lost Time EP’ on Couch Acid Recordings, and the ‘001’ compilation from X-Kalay. Keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming release with Parallel People, sometime mid-year.
